Bart Dugdale is an Associate Managing Director based in the Burns & Wilcox Ruston, LA office.  Bart has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry.  He joined the Burns & Wilcox team in 2023 when Burns & Wilcox acquired McIntyre & Associates, where he served as the second generation president.  He has worked throughout his insurance career to build deep relationships with both carriers and agents to be a trusted broker to help solve his clients’ complex E&S insurance needs.  His primary focus has been Louisiana commercial property and casualty insurance.  Learning the insurance industry through the lens of a Louisiana Surplus license broker, has given Bart a unique perspective to approach all risks with an open mind to figure out a solution when there are limited options.   Bart earned a degree in finance and a masters degree in accounting from Louisiana Tech University.  Prior to entering the insurance industry he obtained his CPA license.  This professional experience has provided a solid foundation for a calculated underwriting approach. When he is not in the office he enjoys spending time outdoors and with his wife and 2 daughters.
