David started his carrier in the accounting industry working with several large companies, including the Walt Disney Co., before making the switch to the insurance field. His first insurance role was with Woodruff Sawyer & Co, specializing in pre-IPO private companies and Public Directors & Officers insurance as well as Financial Institutions. David focused primarily on helping mitigate risk for pre-IPO companies within the California region. He then transitioned to the wholesale space and worked for a subsidiary of Brown & Brown Insurance working on multiple lines of management liability & professional liability eventually earning his Management Liability Insurance Specialist designation. After, David worked at Risk Placement Services, Inc. as a Senior Broker supporting many of their client’s toughest wholesale placements, including placing large towers of insurance for middle to large companies buying large towers north of $ 100M in insurance limits. He also managed a large CA real estate E&O book with some of the biggest real estate firms in CA.
With well over a decade of experience, David is now with Burns & Wilcox as a Senior Broker to help grow the west coast practice with his knowledge and expertise for structuring risk portfolios for companies across all management liability and professional liability classes of business.
