Matt Ritchie has nine years of wholesale and E&S experience and holds the CPRIA designation. He began his career as an Associate Underwriter in Commercial Lines at Burns & Wilcox. In 2020, he joined the Flood Practice Group as a Specialty Flood Underwriter and currently serves as a Senior Underwriter on the underwriting team. In this role, Matt leverages technology and risk modeling to assess flood risk, drive profitability, and support placement across a broad flood portfolio. He also collaborates with offices and clients nationwide to market and support client solutions.

The Burns & Wilcox Flood Practice Group is a recognized leader in the private flood insurance market and was named the 2023 “Specialty Underwriting Team of the Year” by Inside P&C. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
