Rebecca Roberts is a Regional Vice President at Burns & Wilcox, where she oversees the company’s Florida and Georgia regions. With over 30 years of industry experience, she is responsible for the collective performance of the Orlando, South Florida, Tampa and Atlanta, Georgia offices. Under her leadership, the Florida team doubled their underwriting practice in less than five years while improving overall operational efficiencies, compliance matters and profitability. They have expanded product lines for Marine Insurance, including Commercial Marine and Commercial Recreational Risk. She was responsible for the opening of an additional location in South Florida in 2022, including hiring and onboarding top talent.
Rebecca serves as the Council Chair for the H.W. Kaufman Group Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Initiative where she works with the company’s DE&I Council to determine the goals and activities of its Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), as well as coaching ERG leaders and providing resources and support on DE&I-related initiatives.
A proven leader, she has earned various company accolades, such as the Kaufman Culture Award and the Burns & Wilcox Excellence in Leadership Award. Rebecca holds Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) designations. She is a member of the Florida Association of Insurance Agent’s (FAIA) Pay it Forward and Good Works Committees and the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) Talent Outreach Committee. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
