(August 28, 2023) – Burns & Wilcox, a globally recognized leader in wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriting, today announced the hire of two regional leads – Bob Quillman and Doug Legters. In their new roles, Quillman oversees the company’s Texas region and Legters oversees the Northeast region.

Quillman joins Burns & Wilcox as Regional Vice President, Texas. In his role, he is responsible for the collective performance of the state’s three offices – Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston and San Antonio. Working closely with Vice President and Managing Director Matthew Brady (Dallas/Ft. Worth) and Managing Director Suzette Torres (Houston), together they will drive the company’s aggressive growth strategy across the state as it continues to expand its regional footprint. Based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth office, Quillman reports to Blaise D’Antoni, Executive Vice President, Eastern United States, Burns & Wilcox.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Quillman most recently led national and regional sales teams at Kemper Insurance, where he was recognized for consistently delivering profit and growth goals while deepening relationships with clients both in Texas and nationwide. His long-standing career began at State Farm as a Commercial Lines Underwriter, where he advanced into underwriting leadership followed by a variety of corporate sales and marketing leadership roles.

Legters joins Burns & Wilcox as Regional Vice President, Northeast. Based out of the Burns & Wilcox New Jersey and New York offices, he also reports to D’Antoni. In his role, he is responsible for the collective performance of Burns & Wilcox throughout the Northeast region.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Legters most recently served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Partner Development at AXA XL where he oversaw all U.S. wholesale distribution. Previously Legters was the Managing Director and New York Division Chief at AmWins Program Underwriters. He also held numerous roles leading specialty programs and managing underwriting operations for other New York-based MGAs.
