Alex Gargano Joins Burns & Wilcox as Managing Director, New York; Erica Rangel Elevated to Associate Managing Director, Chicago  

FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. (APRIL 29, 2025) — Burns & Wilcox, a globally recognized leader in wholesale insurance brokerage, underwriting and distribution, today announced new leaders for its New York and Chicago offices:

• Alex Gargano joins Burns & Wilcox as Managing Director with responsibility for overseeing the company’s operations across New York and the Tri-State area. He will be based in the Burns & Wilcox Manhattan office and report into Doug Legters, Regional Vice President, Northeast. Gargano comes to Burns & Wilcox with more than 30 years of experience. Since 2020 he has served as Senior Vice President, Underwriting E&S, at Vault. This position followed nearly 20 years in a variety of leadership roles at AIG.
• In Chicago, Burns & Wilcox has elevated Erica Rangel to Associate Managing Director. Rangel, whose career spans nearly 20 years, is one of the top Professional Liability brokers at Burns & Wilcox. She has also been instrumental in the growth of the company’s Professional Liability Practice throughout its Midwest region. Rangel joined Burns & Wilcox more than seven years ago following roles at RT Specialty and CRC.
